Career Path

Engineering

Honeywell turbochargers are a key enabler of engine downsizing to meet increasingly stringent fuel economy and CO2 emissions standards in markets all over the world. Our technologies are used on an average of nearly 100 new applications a year for passenger and commercial vehicles as well as on and off-highway equipment using gasoline, diesel, natural gas and even hybrid powertrains. We seek engineering talent to maintain our world-class standards. Opportunities include:

Application Engineer – Will work closely with customers to bid on, develop, launch, and maintain multiple turbocharger products at various stages in the product life cycle. You will impact our clients as an integral part of bringing new turbocharger technologies to their prized products – products people depend on every day.

Product Engineer – Will be involved from development to production launch, including concept development, hardware test & evaluation, refinement of design and preproduction. Will lead complex projects from concept development through hardware validation as well as participate in the identification, evaluation and development of new turbocharger technology.

Design Engineer – Will design, test and qualify the next generation of compressor aerodynamics, using state of the art analytical and experimental tools. Involves interaction with multiple cross-functional teams to design a robust product and successfully integrate the new components into the whole turbocharger.

Research & Development

Honeywell possesses the best R&D turbo resources, the widest product portfolio of any turbo supplier and an engineering network that stretches from the US to China, India, France and the Czech Republic. All this is complemented by turbo manufacturing facilities in China, India, Romania, Slovakia, France, Italy, Korea, Japan, Australia, Brazil and Mexico – providing customers with product quality, reliability and scalability in aerodynamics, rotordynamics, materials science, lab/testing, and electrification.

Our R&D positions provide high visibility and exciting opportunities to work on turbocharger turbine and compressor wheel life prediction methodology, wheel fatigue, aerodynamics, rotordynamics, or materials projects. We provide exciting opportunities to work on cutting edge technology with a great scope for innovation. Individuals can work independently on hands-on research projects with the usage of our certified test laboratory’s powerful computational modeling tools.

Program Management

Program Managers may lead multiple projects, ranging from new program development to application and launch programs. Project management expertise will be key to successful project initiation and scope definition as you partner with the business leadership team and lead management of program development, coordination of product design, validation, launch and post implementation support. The Program Manager will also be instrumental in managing financial and technical feasibility analysis; driving mitigation plan and recovery actions to address any issues compromising the program in the area of quality, time or cost; creation and evaluation of a detailed program schedule and implementation of phase gate methodology and processes.
